Lidl carried by the fears of the French on the purchasing power

The soft discounter is beefing up its logistics to meet demand. Its store base is booming.

The new Lidl warehouse in Meaux will be the brand's largest in Île-de-France.

Its 55,000 m2 will not be superfluous to supply the stores of the soft discounter in the east of the Paris region.

Initially, 80 trucks will supply 65 stores every day.

The new warehouse - an investment of 80 million euros - is however capable of delivering around 30 more.

What offer development prospects to Lidl, whose growth in France seems unstoppable.

The soft discounter opens more or less a hundred stores a year, as well as a logistics platform to serve them.

In Ablis (Yvelines), he is building his largest warehouse in France.

Two other platforms will open in the agglomerations of Pau and Lyon by 2027. The growth of the brand's fleet is only hampered by its difficulty in finding land.

"We are in some cases forced to be tenants while Lidl always prefers to be an owner"
