About a month ago, the Israel Police published a new procedure, according to which a police car will no longer be sent to all incidents of theft from private homes, except in exceptional cases.

Following this announcement, there has been an increase in demand for renting safes in secure safe complexes.

Under the heading "Reducing handling of theft incidents", the police statement stated that in the operations and policing department "staff work was carried out with the purpose of streamlining the handling of incidents, thereby reducing the incident load of patrol vehicles".

According to the CBS report, about 5 percent of all households experience a burglary every year.

Attorney Dvir Indig, CEO of Brixton's safe complexes, explains that "following the new police procedure, in the last two weeks there has been a 25% increase in the rental of safes. In the Jerusalem area the increase is more than 32%, as people prefer to store things in them personal, jewelry, money and more."

Indig expands: "Most of the safe rentals in recent days are from private homeowners, whose apartment insurance policy has an option to include a safe in the safe complex."

Brixton has two secure complexes in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, which include a total of about 6,000 safes.

and how much does it cost?

The price for a safe varies according to the size and rental period, starting from NIS 25 per day.

In Brixton they say that these days they have a special promotion in the complex in Jerusalem, when anyone who rents a safe for 3 years will get rent for a safe for the fourth year for free.

The value of the benefit is about NIS 2,000.

Indig says that "these days the company is conducting negotiations to open a third safe complex, which will be automated without human contact with an investment of about NIS 5 million".
