Russia's Gazprom has announced its intention to stop supplies of natural gas from Russia to China via the (Power of Siberia) pipeline for a week for a scheduled maintenance operation.
The company said in a statement, "Fuel supplies along this route will stop from September 22 to 29, in order to conduct planned maintenance operations," noting that the company carries out twice a year, in the fall and spring, maintenance work for pipeline equipment (Power of Siberia).
It is noteworthy that the (Power of Siberia) is a gas pipeline that aims to pump Russian natural gas from fields in the Russian Far East to China, and supplies began through it to China on December 2, 2019.
Currently, Moscow and Beijing are discussing the issue of building a new pipeline (Power of Siberia 2) in order to meet the growing demand for gas in China.
