These SMEs were rewarded for their commitment to the environment, well-being, or their social impact.

The French winners of the second EnterPrize prize, an initiative of the Generali group aimed at rewarding SMEs that have a virtuous economic model and activities that have a positive impact on their ecosystem, have been unveiled.

Sponsored by Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, the EnterPrize prize includes three categories: environment, well-being and community.

Three SMEs were also rewarded with favorites and the prize from The Human Safety Net Foundation.

The jury, made up of leading figures in the field of sustainability, selected the most exemplary entries.

These winning VSEs/SMEs had, in the eyes of the jury, both a remarkable overall performance and an inspiring exemplary value.

commented Régis Lemarchand, member of the Executive Committee of Generali France in charge of the professional and corporate market.

Cycle Terre, winner of the

environment category

The national winners of the EnterPrize prize rewarded in the “

environment

” category, Cycle Terre, a cooperative society of public interest (SCIC), based in Sevran, which manufactures raw earth building materials from recycled construction rubble.

To further limit its carbon footprint, the excavation soil used by Cycle Terre is located less than 10 km from the factory and the customers less than 100 km.

"

We have two ambitions: to democratize the use of raw earth and to reassure people that it is made from excavated soil or from recycled buildings

", explains Teddy Dusausaye, CEO of Cycle Terre. .

The structure has ambition: “

In the future, we want to create 30 factories like the one based in Sevran.

“, completes the leader.

Citel, winner in the

wellness category

The Scop Citel, an SME from Tarn, specializing in construction, was awarded the prize in the “

well-being

” category.

It offers each employee the possibility of becoming a partner.

This Scop implemented its sustainability approach in 2012, “

by conviction

”, explains its CEO, David Auguste: “

100% of our employees are partners, which is quite atypical in the construction sector.

Our objective is that the company's wealth be redistributed to all employees in an equitable manner.

The SME has a very participative operation with one meeting of associates per quarter.

We work a lot on the quality of life and working conditions.

We also establish our own carbon footprint calculation

“, explains David Auguste.

The SME was the first SCOP to obtain a CSR label.

Myfood, winner in the

community category

The Alsatian start-up Myfood designs connected greenhouses that consume little water - they use 90% less water - so that "

everyone is able to produce their own food

", in the words of Mickaël Gandecki, its managing director. .

MyFood greenhouses only require 2 hours of maintenance per week.

They are connected to a dedicated social network that allows them to manage the land remotely, to check that it is working well, but also to exchange between users and agronomists.

Myfood has installed 800 greenhouses in Europe and around the world.

"

We need a lot more

," says Mickaël Gandecki, who wants to industrialize production and aims for 10,000 greenhouses to be installed by 2025-2026.

Two "

favourites "

were also handed over.

Laine & Compagnie, a Limousin SME specializing in the manufacture of Limousin sheep wool mattresses, received the jury's favourite.

The restaurant Le Mirazur, located near Menton, by three-starred chef Mauro Colagreco, was awarded the Generali favourite.

The Girondin Le Bocal Local work integration workshop (ACI), which specializes in food and reintegration, received the Human Safety Net prize, named after the Generali group's foundation.

For these six winners, the implementation of a responsible approach is obvious and will be essential in the future.

"

It is important to understand that we will not go back

," said Jean-Philippe Rouanne, CEO of Laine & Compagnie.

"

SMEs are not required to have an extensive CSR program.

You just need to do one thing correctly to make a contribution to the building

,” adds Stéphanie Dartigue, general manager of Bocal Local.

The winning SMEs will be able to promote this prize in their communication.

We are also considering the possibility of providing them with a number of value-added services to support and develop their economic activity,

” explains Régis Lemarchand.
