Daraa-Sana
The Forestry Department in the Daraa Agriculture Directorate has prepared 771,837 diverse forestry plants to be planted in the new season, which begins in November of each year.
Head of the Forestry Department, Eng. Jamil Al-Abdullah, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the plants are distributed in large, medium and small bags, and vary between eucalyptus, cypress, pine, tannins, pepper, azedracht, lagostrum, fan palm and others.
He added: "The department has a plan to forest 80 hectares in different locations, the most important of which is the Daraa Dam, which was subjected to excessive logging during the war years."
