If you are also looking for a cottage in the supermarket and can't find it, know that you are not alone.
Complaints received by Walla Maalot from various consumers that there is a shortage of the popular cheese.
In the various supermarkets, the cottage pages are empty and the customers don't really understand why.
Doron Mivneh, for example, said to Walla!
Money: "I gave up after looking in five different writers in Yavne, near my work in Tel Aviv I couldn't find the expensive writers either.
There is none." Neither did Bracha from Jerusalem find any, and so did Elazar from Modi'in. Contacting the various food chains for Voila! Money brought up different answers - Rami Levy and Shufersal claimed that there was no shortage, while the market warehouses pointed to a lack of points due to a shortage of working days caused by the Tishrei holidays.
A source who was privy to the details but asked not to be identified said that "like every year during the holidays due to the scarcity of production days, there are localized shortages in the milk market as a whole."
However, a request to Tnuva and Terra, the main producers of cottage cheese, brought the following answers: Tnuva stated: "In light of the holiday show, there may be a spot shortage of cottage cheese. Tnuva continues to supply cottage cheese all the time and will return to full production after the holidays."
Matra stated: "Every year during the holidays, a shortage of working days reduces production in the milk market."
