TotalEnergies announced on Wednesday that it would individually receive the representative unions of the oil group, including the CGT at the origin of the strike which began on September 27 and caused fuel shortages in a third of French service stations.
Thierry Defresne, CGT secretary of the TotalEnergies Europe European committee, said from the group's headquarters in La Défense that he accepted this first meeting.
Not a salary "negotiation" meeting
Initially, TotalEnergies had proposed to unite the four unions collectively on Wednesday, except the CGT unless it lifts the strike which affects the group's four refineries, but two of them had refused without the participation of the CGT, the second union. of the group behind the CFE-CGC.

The management finally proposed to see the CGT individually without the condition of the lifting of the blockages.
Technically, it will not be a meeting of “negotiations” on wages but of consultation and exchange, specified the negotiator of the CGT.
The union is demanding a 10% wage increase for 2022, and wants formal negotiations now, without making them conditional on the end of the strike.
