The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem, discussed with representatives of the cement and construction workers unions in the governorates the demands and difficulties that pertain to workers in the cement establishment.
Minister Salem stressed during the meeting that the workers' demands are justified, and the necessary support must be provided to them in order to continue production, and give them what compensates them for their great effort.
Minister Salem stressed the need for continuous coordination to find out about labor issues, unify efforts to improve the living situation of the working class, and support the segment of state workers as one of the segments most affected by the terrorist war on Syria, especially through the new incentives system, whose compensation amounts to 300 percent.
The head of the Professional Confederation of Construction Trade Unions, Khalaf Hannoush, pointed out that the stage requires the solidarity of all, and exerting utmost efforts to increase production and re-launch the stalled facilities as a result of terrorism, stressing that the union continues to cooperate and coordinate with government agencies to preserve workers' rights and achieve gains for them.
