Enough to satisfy Ile-de-France drivers who are struggling to find petrol or diesel.
The CGT announces this Wednesday the end of the strike at the TotalEnergies refinery in Gonfreville-L'Orcher (Seine-Maritime), one of the last two sites - with the Feyzin depot near Lyon - where the social movement continued.
An agreement has been reached between management and the union, said the general secretary of the CGT site, Alexis Antonioli, confirming information from the daily "Paris-Normandie".
The management of TotalEnergies also confirmed that “the strike is over”.
Persistent difficulties in Île-deèFrance
This refinery located in Normandy notably supplies Île-de-France with fuel, via gas pipelines.
The Ile-de-France region was the one where getting supplies at the pump has remained the most complicated in recent days, especially in Paris.
An "end of conflict protocol" was being negotiated Thursday, October 27 between unions and management of the Gonfreville refinery, a few hours after the vote to continue the strike.
At a general meeting held during the day, the employees approved the continuation of the movement and set the next general meeting for this Wednesday, November 2.
