Disruptions in transport, schools, demonstrations… the point on this Thursday of strike

2022-11-10T06:08:54.708Z

The day promises to be very complicated in Ile-de-France transport, and in particular, in the metro. Elsewhere, the mobilization is announced

In the capital, getting around this Thursday is going to be a real headache.

Almost no metro will run due to a strike called by all the RATP unions which promises to be very well attended.

In the other sectors, also invited to stop work by the CGT alone, the mobilization looks more modest.

Only fully automated lines 1 and 14 will run normally, but with a "risk of saturation".

Five lines will be completely closed (2, 8, 10, 11 and 12), the others only running at peak times, with a severely degraded service.

Movement less followed at the SNCF

The RATP invites all those who can to stay at home by teleworking.

The situation will not be better on the RER A where one in three trains will run on average.

On the RER B, the frequency will be every other train.

At the SNCF on the other hand, the movement supported by the only CGT-Cheminots promises to be much less followed.

Traffic will be normal on the TGVs and slightly disrupted on the Intercités, on the eve of a long weekend.

On the TER lines, nine out of ten trains will run on average and, in Ile-de-France, some disruptions are to be expected on certain Transilien lines.

After-school care disrupted

In other sectors too, disruption should be limited.

In some schools this Thursday, canteens and extracurricular reception will nevertheless be disrupted.

Occupational health professionals will also strike on Thursday.

The CGT Health and Social Action called for mobilization "to defend the ethics of their work".

This concerns medical and non-medical personnel from public hospital service establishments, the French blood establishment and private health establishments of collective interest.

The CFE-CGC occupational health union "joins the strike movement of November 10, 2022", he said in a press release.

The CGT expects “150 to 200” places of demonstration

The Union Syndicale Public Assistance Syndicate CGT of Paris Hospitals also called on "hospital workers to go on strike for the increase in the index point to 6 euros".

For its part, the Federation of Health and Social Action of the CGT has filed a strike notice but for November 11.

The CGT also expects a mobilization in the streets with "150 to 200" places of demonstration in France.

In Paris, the event will start at the beginning of the afternoon from République, direction Opéra.
