The quarters follow one another and look alike for CMA CGM, always placed under the sign of good performance.
The French group, the third largest shipowner in the world, with 580 ships, published Friday a net profit of 7 billion dollars for the third quarter.
In the spring, it had recorded a record amount of 7.6 billion.
It is therefore continuing its momentum, with profits which have jumped to 21.8 billion since the start of the year, against 17.9 billion in 2021. In the third quarter, the turnover of CMA CGM increased by nearly 30% to $19.9 billion.

These figures could once again revive the debate around the taxation of superprofits: its profitability places the shipowner on the same level as giants like TotalEnergies or Sanofi.
The government has still not clarified its position on the subject, even if the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, has expressed his reluctance.
In the meantime, CMA CGM expects a less prosperous tomorrow...
