A boost for small service stations to “
accelerate their modernization
” towards electric.
The government announced on Tuesday the creation of aid for the installation of electric vehicle charging stations in independent stations.

With a budget of 10 million euros, this aid takes the form of co-financing by the State for the deployment of charging stations in stations.
The State will support the installation “
up to 60 to 70%
” of its cost.

To the funding provided by the State, can be added the funding that can be mobilized within the framework of the energy saving certificate (EEC) programs
”, indicates Bercy in a press release.

Only stations selling less than 2,500 m3 of fuel per year will be eligible for this aid.
Or more than 4,000 service stations, estimates the executive, out of the 11,100 that dot the territory.
Another condition, the charging station must “
be installed in an independent service station and located in a municipality of intermediate or rural density
”, according to the INSEE classification.
A counter will be opened by the Agency for the Environment and Energy Management (ADEME) on December 1, on which service stations can request assistance.
It will then be paid one month after the validation of the file.
Such a boost has long been requested by independent service stations.
