Chinese official data showed today that sales of Chinese-branded vehicles increased in the past 11 months of this year, further increasing its market share.
Data from the China Association of Vehicle Manufacturers published by Xinhua showed that between January and November, 10.48 million Chinese brand passenger vehicles were sold in the Chinese market, an increase of 24.2 percent year-on-year, and the domestic market share of these vehicles reached 49.2 percent. Up 5 percentage points from last year.
The data indicated that during the month of November alone, sales of local brands of vehicles increased by 9.8 percent year-on-year to nearly 1.13 million units, and accounted for 54.4 percent of total passenger vehicle sales in the country last month, up 7.6 percentage points from the previous year.
