The National Authority for Network Services granted an initial permit to (e-Cash) company on its “e-Cash Business” application for electronic payment.
The Director of Regulation and Licensing at the Authority, Engineer Madeleine Al-Sheli, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the (e-Cash Business) application provides merchants and business owners with the possibility of collecting the value of goods or services available in their stores to their bank accounts, through the company's secure electronic payment gateway.
Al-Sheli pointed out that it is considered the first application to obtain a permit to provide the service of secure collection of the value of goods and services paid for electronically through the electronic payment gateway.
Al-Shelly indicated that the authority asked the company to complete the necessary approvals and licenses from the Central Bank of Syria, in preparation for granting it the final permit based on the controls and regulations for electronic applications operating on the network, calling on those wishing to obtain a permit to make any application on the Syrian network to communicate with the Directorate of Regulation and Licensing in Commission.
