Traders from Lorraine obtained winter sales in anticipation ten years ago to fight against competition from neighboring Luxembourg, where the sales also started on Monday.

In the rest of mainland France, the winter sales will begin on Wednesday January 11 and will last four weeks until February 7.
In Guadeloupe, the kick-off will be given on January 7 and only on February 4 in Reunion.
