Oil prices posted their biggest weekly loss in a month, as job growth in the United States did not help crude markets sustain their rally.
Reuters reported that West Texas Intermediate crude settled at the close of trading at $73.77 a barrel, after rising to $75.45 earlier in the session.
The US crude index fell by nearly 9 percent over the course of the week, recording its largest weekly decline since the week ending on December 2.
Brent crude traded in London closed down 12 cents, or 0.2 percent, at $78.57 a barrel.
