Industrialists and producers of conserves, dryers, moonshine and oils in the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside called for expanding the list of locally manufactured products that are allowed to be exported, and developing specifications for conserves and legumes to enable them to enter foreign markets.

During their committee meeting today at the Chamber's headquarters, the industrialists called for allowing the import of raw materials used in the food industry without funding, extending the period of temporary admission to more than six months, and facilitating shipping matters within the Syrian governorates.

They also called for the return of the mechanism for regulating sampling of exported products to its previous state, and for finding a mechanism that allows the transfer of foreign exchange without exposing the industrialist to legal problems and financial fines, calling on the Development and Support of Local Production and Exports Authority to bear part of the costs of participating in foreign exhibitions, and to give industrialists a time limit before issuing Any decision to prevent the export of goods, in order to allow them to export their goods, whose sale has been previously established.

The President of the Chamber, Ghazwan Al-Masry, and the Vice-President of the Chamber, the head of the food sector, Talal Qalaji, confirmed the Chamber's endeavor to overcome the difficulties facing the producers of conserves, dryers, moonshine and oils, to provide the requirements for the continuation of their work in cooperation and coordination with the relevant authorities, to secure the need of the local market and export the surplus to foreign markets.

The secretary of the chamber, Ayman al-Mawlawi, and the treasurer of the chamber, George Daoud, participated in the meeting during which Samer Sholeh was named chairman of the conservatory, dryers, moonshine, and oils committee.
