Veolia employees have become, with 6.5% of the capital, the largest shareholder of Veolia, the group announced Thursday after an issue of some 14 million shares for 243 million euros invested.
The employee shareholding operation, reserved for 179,000 employees, was a “
very great success
”, according to a press release, with subscriptions from “
more than 75,000 employees
”.

Veolia employees now represent 6.5% of the company's capital and thus become its largest shareholder
,” explains Veolia.
At the end of 2020, 3.30% of the capital of CAC 40 companies was held by employees, according to the latest figures available from the French federation of associations of employee shareholders and former employees.
