A 90-meter-high container crane that stood in the port for more than 30 years was brought down today in a controlled manner.
In the future, it is expected that all the cranes in the port will be dismantled and replaced with advanced technological infrastructures.
Karen Adani, CEO of APSEZ and Ofer Linchevski, CEO of Gadot Group
said: "Haifa Port is embarking on a new, more advanced, more technological and more efficient path. Today we started the process of upgrading and developing the port by removing the old cranes.
In the near future we will see here new cranes, and advanced operating technologies that will make Haifa Port the leading port in Israel."
