Protecting huge plots from pests or other phenomena that can damage crops is a task that requires around-the-clock work and a lot of manpower, unless you are an Agroscout customer

with the farmers until the end of the plot.

Few people enjoy hearing the problems of others, especially if they are farmers, but one Israeli entrepreneur listened carefully and developed a solution to the most common problem, the problems of managing plantations and agricultural fields.

The management problems occur due to the lack of accessible information about the vast agricultural fields, and the inability to reach every part of them to examine them.

As a result, it takes a long time before the farmer can notice any problem affecting the yield of the agricultural field.

The Israeli agtech company 'AgroScout' decided to address the problem and is developing a system that serves as a kind of 'big brother' to the agricultural fields, looking at and monitoring them from the point of view of a drone.

This is software that collects agricultural information from the fields, and processes and analyzes it with artificial intelligence tools.

The analysis received by the farmer provides him with a situational picture of his fields and enables the detection and identification of agricultural risk factors for them such as diseases and pests, fertilization problems, irrigation faults, and more.

The value of the information obtained on the field is priceless, as it allows the farmer to estimate the future crop along with lowering the depreciation from the field and increasing the amount of the crop from it, and for the large food processing companies it enables more accurate planning of procurement and supply chain, saving them millions of dollars.

The food processing giants, such as PepsiCo, which is one of the largest potato producers in the world, dominate most agricultural crops, and meeting the challenges of producing a larger quantity and higher quality of food is essential for their continued development and even survival.

The global agricultural market is one of the largest and fastest growing global markets in the world and this is due to the growth of the Ho'alem population.

This market stood at 12.2 trillion dollars in 2022 and is expected to stand at 13.3 trillion dollars in 2023 - an annual growth of about 9%.

Part of it is the field crops and plantations, which are spread over about 7 billion dunams around the world, where the field crops alone have a potential of about 500 billion dollars.

Along with the general agricultural market, the agricultural technology market is growing, which was about 20 billion dollars in 2022, and is expected to be about 26.5 billion dollars by 2025. About half of its size in 2025 is expected to be held by the precision agriculture niche, which is estimated to be about 12.8 billion dollar until 2025, and about 4.5% by the agricultural analytics system niche, which is estimated to be about $1.2 billion by then.

According to the forecasts of the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations), the demand for food is expected to increase by 60% by the year 2050, together with stricter requirements for compliance with quality standards of food, produced while maintaining sustainability values. Therefore, Agtech solutions Those applying to this segment are expected to grow along with this demand.
