The ISAP survey checked how much more we spent on our private car, mortgage repayments, restaurants and more. So how much did our expenses increase in the year when prices went up?

Among the many price increases that wash over our lives, and are already beginning to be felt, it is time to see what we spent the best of our money on in the past year, and how to properly prepare for the coming year.

Facing the new year, it's always worth looking back for a moment, examining what our money has done in the past year and how we can be more efficient for the future.

According to Razap data, it can be seen that in the last year, our average monthly expenses on the private

vehicle

were about NIS 792, compared to traveling by

public transportation

, on which we spent an average of about NIS 248 per month.

We spent an average of NIS 1,926

in a

supermarket

, and NIS 1,092 on

eating out .

Out of that, on pizza for example - about NIS 88 a month.

We spent about NIS 425

on

pharmaceuticals , and on

a mortgage

, one of the main expenses of many young couples in Israel, we spent an average of NIS 4,730.

Among those who share their lives with some sort of

pet

, the average monthly expenditure was about NIS 442,

on lottery draws

about

NIS 78 - and if it's a community,

how much did we contribute?

Well, about NIS 260 on average per month.

Some also made sure to

save

, (monthly median) in the amount of about 2,004 shekels, and on the other hand

, we spent an average of about 21 shekels on

credit fees .

Not only that, according to Razap data we see that there has been a significant increase in prices in every other aspect of our lives, in relation to the past year, sometimes by a few percent and in some cases by dozens of percent.

When comparing the expenses in the month of December 22 compared to December 21, it is possible to identify a number of areas in which the wave of price increases weighed heavily on the pocket of the Israeli family.

In the field of tourism we spent 22% more, as well as in mortgage (16%), rent (12%), insurance (5%), dining out (5%), car (3%).

At the same time, it can be seen that despite the rising prices in the economy, in certain areas Israelis choose to spend less: according to the company's data, it is possible to see a decrease of about 5% in spending on clothing, and a 10% decrease in spending in the pharmaceutical sector.

Yuval Smet, CEO of Razap

: "Studies have shown that spending money activates the same areas of the brain that are identified with pain, and this is probably why many of us prefer to turn a blind eye and not go into the bank account or check the credit details. But we recognize that families who choose to be 'on it' succeed in reducing the effect of inflation in 68%, which is why we launched this year's summary feature: when information about money is presented in a light, empowering and educational way, we see a significant impact on our customers' bottom line."
