The German Economic Institute announced that losses related to economic growth in the country during 2023 will reach 175 billion euros, due to the Ukrainian crisis.
According to a study conducted by the institute, the results of which were reported by Novosti Agency, this amount is equivalent to about 4.5 percent of Germany's gross domestic product, while the total losses due to the Corona virus pandemic will reach 595 billion euros.
The researchers also mentioned that the direct loss of individual wealth can be estimated at two thousand euros for each German citizen, and the economist at the Institute, Michael Grimming, said: "This is an exceptional situation that will occupy us in the coming months and will become a burden on prosperity."
Earlier, a protest demonstration took place in Berlin, rejecting the idea of Germany providing Ukraine with 19 Leopard tanks and the supply of heavy weapons to the Ukrainian regime.
