The Russian Gas Company “Gazprom” signed today, with the Republic of Uzbekistan, a roadmap for joint cooperation in the gas industry.
Russia Today website quoted the company as saying in a statement published on Telegram: The CEO of the company, Alexey Miller, discussed with Uzbek Energy Minister Gurabek Mirzam Makhmudov current and future cooperation issues between the two countries, noting that the two sides subsequently signed a roadmap for cooperation in the gas industry.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak had indicated earlier that Russia was discussing the possibility of launching a “gas union” with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, to support shipments between the three countries and other energy buyers.
