Never before has Airbus recruited so much in the world.

We hired 13,000 people in 2022. This is a record level which exceeds the previous one of 2019 (11,000).
And we expect 13,000 new hires this year
, ”says Thierry Baril, director of human resources (HRD) of the aeronautics giant.
At the end of 2023, the workforce of Airbus should have exceeded the level of 2019 (nearly 135,000 employees worldwide), after having fallen to 126,000 at the end of 2021, following job cuts linked to the adjustment of production (d a third) at the heart of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Of the 13,000 recruitments in 2023, 6,000 are intended to replace employees and 7,000 relate to job creation

”, specifies the HRD.
Two-thirds of the hires will concern the four founding countries of Airbus (France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom) and one-third the rest of the world.
