Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Eng. Bassam Tohme, discussed with the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Damascus, Jose Gregorio Biomorji, today prospects for cooperation between Syria and Venezuela in the field of oil, given Venezuela's large oil reserves.
The two sides stressed the importance of raising the level of economic relations between the two countries to the level of the strength of the historical friendship that unites them.
It was agreed to hold a meeting via videoconference with the Minister of Oil of the Republic of Venezuela, Tariq El-Aissami, to discuss prospects for cooperation, and to develop an action plan for the next stage of joint cooperation between the two sides.
