Oil prices rose today, extending the previous session's gains.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures rose 1.30 dollars, or 1.5 percent, at 88.77 dollars a barrel.
West Texas Intermediate crude futures also increased $1.27, or 1.6 percent, at $82.28 a barrel, close to recording the highest daily percentage jump in two weeks.
The two benchmarks are heading for gains for the third week in a row, with their rise of more than 1 percent.
