The Chinese Ministry of Finance announced that China's public budget revenues increased by 0.6 percent on an annual basis, to reach about 20.37 trillion yuan, or approximately $3.01 trillion, during 2022.
Xinhua quoted the ministry as saying in the latest data issued today: The general budget revenues grew by 9.1 percent compared to 2021, after excluding the value-added tax refund.
The ministry added: The central government collected revenues of about 9.49 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.8 percent year on year, while the revenues collected by local governments decreased by 2.1 percent, to record about 10.88 trillion yuan, pointing to an increase in the country's general budget spending by 6.1 percent. On an annual basis, reaching 26.06 trillion yuan last year.
