The assistants' strike that began as an initiative in the WhatsApp groups, detached from the Histadrut's actions as part of negotiations on wage agreements, ended with the order of the labor court ruling that they must return to work immediately

In response to a petition submitted by the municipality of Nes Ziona against the spontaneous strike announced by the aides in the kindergartens, the Tel Aviv Labor Court ruled that they must immediately return to their jobs.

The court ruled that the assistants must return to work starting in the morning and not take protest measures.

However, the court added that its decision does not prejudice future protest measures that will be carried out according to the accepted procedure in case of labor disputes and also clarified that an assistant who is equipped with a sick certificate as required (some of the assistants did not show up for work claiming that they were sick) will of course not be able to return to work.

The strike, which officials in the Histadrut also called "pirate", seems that the case of the assistants will be decided in negotiations between the Treasury and the Histadrut.
