Last year, the Czech foreign exchange balance recorded a deficit of 198.1 billion kronor, equivalent to 8.25 billion euros, which is the highest deficit recorded in the history of the Czech Republic since its establishment in 1993.
The Czech Statistical Office indicated in its data that this deficit exceeds what was recorded in 2021 by 189.2 billion kronor, pointing out that it comes despite the fact that trade exchange last December exceeded all expectations, as the value of the deficit was 1.2 billion kronor. Which is 15 billion kronor less than what was recorded in the same month of 2021.
The office indicated that industrial production in the country rose last year by 1.7 percent, while production in the field of construction rose by 1.9 percent.
