the new basket of 1,974 basic items
that will have fixed prices until the end of June.
The information comes from the website of the Ministry of Commerce and this new batch of products, which constitutes the central heart of the Fair Prices program, which, in addition to the frozen price basket,
establishes a cap on monthly increases of 3.2% for 49,832 products from 15 categories
(mass consumption, footwear, cell phones, direct sales, home and construction, clothing, among others).
The list is known a day after
Clarín
published that the relaunch of Fair Prices generated doubts and confusion in companies and chains.
This Friday and in front of an audience of executives, supermarkets, trade unionists and some mayors, the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, and the Secretary of Commerce, Matías Tombolini, announced in the CCK an extended edition of Fair Prices, which was scheduled to end February.
All with the aim of curbing the inflationary rebound of recent weeks.
