2023-02-27T10:39:37.521Z

In total there will be 7 increases. Added to the list: domestic workers, subway and Premetro, and fuel.

Inflation does not loosen and is felt every month.

The objective of reaching April with a CPI located closer to 3% than the 6% registered in January is being diluted.

Even the specialists are already making their projections and the data for February is between 5.5% and 6.1%.

March will not have any better luck, especially considering that in the third month of the year, at least 6 increases will again put pressure on consumers' pockets.

Gas rate, prepaid, rentals, domestic employees, fuel and transport

, one by one, all the expected increases.

gas rates

Although the real percentage of the increase has not yet been confirmed because two resolutions are still missing (one from Energy, and another from Enargas), the truth is that

in March there will be a new adjustment in the gas rate.

The increase will reach residential, commercial and industrial users, and will be applied to the distribution and transportation services operated by Metrogas, Naturgy, Camuzzi, TGN and TGS, among others.

According to estimates, the impact on residential users' bills

will have a floor of at least 30%

for lower-income users and a higher percentage (estimated to be closer to 50%) for higher-income users.

The greatest adjustment, however, will be suffered by large users, such as businesses and industries.

Starting in March, a new increase will also be applied in the salaries of private house employees.

March will be the last tranche of the salary agreement held last December.

In this way,

the total agreed increase of 24% is completed

.

This 24% increase was divided into four sections: 8% in December 2022, 7% in January, 5% in February and the last

4% to be applied in the third month of 2023.

Said increase will be paid in March for those who pay per hour or per day, or in April, for those who pay monthly.

In this way, the salaries of the two most demanded scales will be:

  • Personnel for general tasks

    : retired personnel will earn $611.5 an hour and $75,075 a month;

    without withdrawal it will be $659.5 per hour and $83,482.5 per month.

  • Assistance and Care of people

    : retired personnel will earn $659.5 an hour and $83,482.5 a month;

As happens month by month, tenants whose contracts are one year old since the last update

, will receive an increase of around 89% next month,

according to the calculation of the formula established by the current Rental Law, which is governed by an index prepared by the Central Bank based on the evolution of inflation (which in 2022, climbed to the highest level in three decades) and wages.

In February, the increase was 86%.

In this way, a person who, for example, paid $50,000 in the last 12 months (period from March 2022 to March 2023), would start paying $94,780 from the next month.

According to the price increase scheme for gasoline and diesel agreed through the Fair Prices program, fuels that had an increase of 4% in February will

have another rise of 3.8% in March.

Subway

Next month the first section (of four) of the planned increase for subway passengers will also take place.

In this way,

the fare from 1 to 20 trips will be worth $58.

From 21 to 30 trips, the value of the ticket will be $46.40;

and from 31 to 40 trips, $40.60;

more than 41 trips, it will cost $34.80.

The next increases will take place in May, June and September.

When all the sections are in place,

the value of the first 20 trips will be $80 per ticket

.

The new rate will reduce the state subsidy, which currently stands at around 86% and is much higher than the historical average of 60%.

On the other hand, the benefit for frequent passengers continues to be valid:

discounts of 20%, 30% and 40% are automatically applied

once they exceed 20, 30 or 40 monthly trips, respectively.

subway fee

Another planned increase that remained on standby is that of transport at the national level: buses and trains.

However, from the Secretary of Transportation they confirmed to Clarín that

this increase will only be until April.

The update applied in January to the AMBA bus fares set a minimum ticket of $35 and then $39, $2, $45 and $48 depending on the length of the tour.

From April to December of this year, these values will be adjusted monthly according to the variation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Greater Buenos Aires surveyed by INDEC

.

Private schools in CABA and Province

The inclusion of private school fees in the Fair Prices plan caused a readjustment of the increases planned for the month in which classes begin, which in principle exceeded 20%.

By the time several parents began to receive the increase planned for the third month of the year, Minister Sergio Massa

announced a ceiling of 16.5% increase for next month's tariff.

In the City, after Massa's announcement, they renewed the increase that was going to be 25% and

agreed that it would be 16.80%.

In the rest of the provinces, the increases in quotas will have the same maximum for March;

and then they will rise 3.35% in April, May and June, and 4% in July.
