The Caisse des dépôts has withstood the shocks of the financial markets and the rise in interest rates rather well in 2022. The financial arm of the State, guardian of the livret A, generated a net profit of 4, 2 billion euros.
This result is certainly down 9% compared to 2021, but it remains well above the period before the health crisis (2.5 billion in 2019).
Thanks to these good performances, the Caisse des dépôts remains a
“major contributor”
to the State budget.
It will pay him just over 2.4 billion euros, roughly as much as last year (2.5 billion).
Virtually all the lights were green last year for the public institution.
