2023 increases for domestic workers: how much will they charge in April, May and June

The total increase will be 27% of minimum wages and will be made in 3 payments. In July there will be a new review.


As planned, after the meeting of the National Commission for Work in Private Homes,

the first salary update for 2023 was defined on Tuesday,

which will apply to the five categories of domestic workers.

How much will the increase be for each scale and from when will they receive it.

The

increase will be 27%

over the minimum remuneration of personnel who perform domestic tasks, to be paid in three installments of

14% in April, 7% in May and 6% in June

.

The new increases will not be cumulative.

And

on July 25 they will make a new review of the agreement.

Despite the agreement that was closed this Tuesday, domestic employees who are paid monthly

will receive in April the 4% agreed for March

that formed the last tranche of increase agreed in November 2022. That increase was for a total of 24% divided in four stages: 8% in December, January 7%, February 5% and March 4%.

That same segment must wait until May to receive the 14% increase agreed for the fourth month of the year, which is part of the new 27% increase, the rest will arrive in May and June. 

The adjustment took as a parameter the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Salary (SMVM) which will become $80,342 in April

and will rise to $87,987 in July.

Domestic workers: how much will they earn in April 2023

The three increases will be applied to the last tranche of the joint agreement agreed in November, which for March prior to a 4% rise.

Thus, with the 14% established for April, the hour and month worked must be paid as follows:

  • For the

    fifth category

    , and the most demanded locally, that of

    employees for general tasks

    , the salary will be  

    $697.11 an hour and $85,584.90 a month,

    with retirement.

    And $751.83 an hour and $95,170.05 a month, for those without retirement

    .

  • For the

    fourth category

    ,

    assistance and care of people

    : $751.83 an hour and $95,170.05 a month with withdrawal.

    And $841.32 an hour and $106,057.05 a month without withdrawal.

  • For those framed in the

    third category

    , that of

    landlords:  

    $751.83 an hour and $95,170.05 a month.

  • For the

    second category,

    that of personnel for

    specific tasks; 

    $796.29 an hour and $97,544.1 a month with withdrawal.

    And $873.24 an hour and $108,583.29 a month for those who do not withdraw

  • For the

    first category

    , that of

    supervisors

    : $841.32 an hour and $104,992.86 a month for retired personnel;

    and $921.12 and $116,950.32 for those without withdrawal.

  • Fifth category: 

     the salary will be $794.63 an hour and $90,840 a month, with retirement.

    And $798 per hour and $101,013 per month, for personnel without retirement.

  • For the

    fourth category

    , assistance and care of people: $798 per hour and $101,013 per month with withdrawal.

    And $893 an hour and $112,569 a month without withdrawal.

  • For those framed in the

    third category

    , that of landlords: $798 an hour and $101,013 a month.

  • For the

    second category

    , that of personnel for specific tasks;

    $844 an hour and $103,533 a month with withdrawal.

    And $926 an hour and $115,250 a month for those without withdrawal.


  • For the

    first category

    , that of supervisors: $892 an hour and $111,439 a month for retired personnel;

    and $977 and $124,131 for those without withdrawal.

  • Fifth category

    , general tasks $777 an hour and $95,345 a month with retirement.

    And $838 an hour and $106,023 a month, without withdrawal.


  • Fourth category

    : $837 an hour and $106,023 a month, with withdrawal.

    And $937 an hour and $118,151 a month, without withdrawal.


  • Third category

    : $837 an hour and $106,023 a month.

  • Second category

    : $887 an hour and $108,668 a month, with withdrawal;

    and $973 an hour and $120,966 a month, without withdrawal.

  • First category

    : $937 an hour and $116,966 a month, with withdrawal;

    $1,062 and $130,287, without withdrawal.

In addition, an additional 30% will be applied to the minimum wages for each of the categories for personnel who provide tasks in the provinces of La Pampa, Río Negro, Chubut, Neuquén, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego and in the Buenos Aires district. of Patagones.
