This is the first price update for these seven cuts since last February 17 when the agreement was signed.

Now, the program will run until June 30.

The cuts with Fair Prices

are available in the large supermarket chains

and the monthly stock available is 18,000 tons.

As in the first stage, the 10% refund will be maintained on purchases

in butcher shops and mini-markets for debit card payments.

The reimbursement limit in this case is $2,000 per month.

The Government applied 770 fines for an amount of $806 million to supermarkets and mass consumption companies for different breaches of the "Fair Prices" program.

In addition, the Secretary of Commerce together with the Sub-Secretary of Consumer Defense of the Municipality of San Martín,

According to the consulting firm EcoGo, meat increased 25% in February and projects a new rise of 17% for March.

The report, published weeks ago, detailed that the prices of the different cuts of beef increased by 76.8% in one year, below the general price increase in the economy, which stands at 101.3%.

Last month, food led the price rises.

According to CEPA, in February

the "intermediate cuts" were the ones that increased their prices the most: 30.5%.

On the other hand, the "expensive" and "economic" cuts showed a rise of 29.2% and 27.7%, respectively.

The main increases during the past month occurred in: wide steak (34.2%) square (32.9%) and palette (32.1%).
