After wind, solar!
A new administrative hiccup taints the government's roadmap to accelerate the development of renewable energies in France.
This time, only about twenty applications were selected in the context of a call for tenders managed by the Energy Regulation Commission (CRE).
This covered a total capacity of 900 megawatts (MW) of photovoltaic projects, on the ground and on roofs.
However, a modification of the specifications led to the non-compliance of a large part of the files submitted, explained the Union of Renewable Energies (SER) and the solar union Enerplan.
The same type of problem affected the last call for tenders concerning onshore wind power, for which only 54 MW of projects could be selected out of a total of 900 MW to be allocated.

In an attempt to make up for lost time, a new call for tenders will be launched next June for solar power, this time for more than 2,000 MW.
This record volume should make it possible “
to do better than in 2022
” in terms of new photovoltaic installations in France.
According to Enerplan, some 2,500 MW of new solar capacity was installed in France last year.
The sector, on the other hand, hopes to reach 3,000 MW in 2023, which, with an expected total of around 19,000 MW by the end of the year, should bring the country closer to its 2023 target of 20,000 MW.
The ministerial will to catch up with the "missed" of December, "
the sector also takes it as a commitment for the success of the acceleration law and the future energy-climate law
", declared Daniel Bour, the president of Enerplan .
