The US economy created fewer jobs in March than in February and slightly less than expected, but the unemployment rate fell.
Among the other data published in the Labor Department report, Christian Parisot, of the broker Aurel BGC, notes “
a marked slowdown over one year
” in the average hourly wage, but “
tensions on the labor market which remain strong with a decline unemployment rate
”.
