The Israeli Ministry of Defense and the Dutch Ministry of Defense signed the first government defense export agreement between the two countries, for the supply of artillery rocket launcher systems manufactured by Elbit Systems, at a cost of more than NIS 1.1 billion ($305 million).

As part of the contract, Elbit will supply 20 PULS artillery rocket launcher systems over the next five years, as well as a package of rockets and missiles of various ranges, and guidance and support services.

Rockets are now being used intensively in the war in Ukraine. The Ukrainian military is using the American HIMARS rocket system to accurately attack Russian targets at ranges of tens of kilometers, as a substitute for the small air force left to the Ukrainians. The arrival of American rockets changed the war, allowing the Ukrainians to halt the Russian army and even begin reconquering the territories it had occupied.

The agreement was signed in the Netherlands by the head of the Defense Export Division at the Ministry of Defense, Civet, Brig. Gen. (res.) Yair Kolas, with the commander of the Dutch army's ground forces, Lieutenant General M.H. (Martin) Wijnen MMAS.

Bezalel (Butzi) Machlis, President and CEO of Elbit Systems: "The acquisition of Elbit Systems' PULS solution will increase the ability of the Dutch Army to provide effective assistance in indirect fire.
