Zara at the forefront of technology: the renewed branch in the Ramat Aviv Mall (Photo: Yakir Yaish)
Towards the end of the week, the fashion chain ZARA presented the chain's renewed branch in the Ramat Aviv Mall (which itself underwent a serious "facelift") and together with the grand opening, advanced technology was also presented, combining a purchase in the mall's store with Zara's app.
This month's branch, which offers 3 main departments (women, men and children), has doubled in size and is now 3,000 square meters with 2 floors in an architectural concept designed entirely by Zara Architecture Studio in Spain, with the interior created as a large, clean and neutral hall combining textiles and colorful furniture, with the spotlight on fashion.

A unique technological fashion experience
The revamped branch is another step forward in Inditex Group's online and store integration strategy by developing a unique technology ecosystem: Inditex Open Platform that offers a new real-time experience to customers in both fashion and brand.
Similar to Zara's latest technology and design, the branch provides customers with a unique fashion experience that combines shopping with the Zara app at any time and on any device. Thanks to the functionality, customers will be able to browse items through the app and locate them in the Store.
The renewed branch includes an automatic pick-up point for online orders made through the app - a service that is provided, of course, free of charge.
In addition, a self-service payment system for customers will soon be launched, for the first time in Israel.

Thoughtful Eco Systems
In addition, in an attempt to protect the environment, a number of the most advanced Eco systems have been installed in the renovated branch, including efficient heating and cooling systems, energy-efficient LED lighting and the use of more environmentally friendly materials.
The store is connected to Inditex's internal Inergy platform, which monitors the consumption of air conditioning and electrical facilities and helps reduce energy.
According to Zara, the chain is continuously working to reduce environmental impact through a holistic vision of reuse and recycling to promote the circular economy and reduce waste and consumption of raw materials.
Inditex's goal is to use only sustainable cotton and cellulose fibers by 2023, with its commitment to achieve "climate neutrality" by 2040.

From 1975 to the Ramat Aviv store
Zara's story begins with the opening of its first store in the Spanish coastal city of Coruña in 1975. Today, its collections are sold on an integrated platform with over 7,000 physical stores active in 96 markets and online stores active in 202 markets.
Zara is part of the Inditex Group (with the brands Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho and Zara Home), which currently has 84 stores in Israel, 26 of which are Zara stores.
