For the Fête de la musique, FIP takes the metro: public music radio will be broadcast on the platforms and in the corridors of the Paris metro all day on June 21, announced Thursday its director to AFP.
Some surprise concerts will also be organized in some stations, with artists whose names have not yet been announced and with musicians usually playing in the subway, said Ruddy Aboab.
The event will take place on June 21 from 07:00 to 19:00, in partnership with RATP. "For one day, FIP will reinvent the metro soundtrack and encourage Parisians to take off their helmets, put down their phones and live a collective moment together," explained Ruddy Aboab.
While the radio had organized in Paris for the 2022 edition a big concert at the Arènes de Lutèce, it will this time "go to meet the listeners" for this "popular festival" celebrated since 1982, continued the director of the radio.
According to him, this is "the first time that a radio will +take the metro+ for a full day". FIP (Radio France group) offers an eclectic music, between jazz, electro, rock, pop, groove, nuggets of the 70s and novelties.
