The company Flybondi must exclude from its operations two aircraft from its fleet as of this Wednesday, following a delay in the authorizations for the payment of services abroad, derived from the restrictions that prevail in Argentina to obtain dollars.
The low cost, which has its headquarters in our country, will have to cancel 22 flights and reschedule another 10, both national and international destinations, thus affecting more than 5,500 passengers, as Clarín was able to confirm.
This Monday, Flybondi sent a statement to those affected by this situation, in which it explained that, "for reasons beyond the company", it had to "make operational adjustments", which involve not only "schedule changes in flights", but also "stop operating a smaller part" of the fleet.
"There are currently official measures that are restrictive for companies that need access to foreign currency to make payments abroad. In Flybondi we hire several specialized services abroad and that are paid in dollars. To be able to do so we must request authorization periodically but in the last two months we did not receive approvals, "the company developed in the same text.
Given this scenario, the firm explained that given the impossibility of accessing foreign currency began to present "defaults in payments" and mentioned that "the most critical is the lease of aircraft."
The debt, according to Flybondi sources, "is with all lessors", as aircraft lessors are called. "For now one of them asked not to operate their planes," they assured this media.
