It may be a little early to rush to the food aisles of your supermarket.

While farmers are maintaining a few dozen blockades on highways in the four corners of the country and convoys of tractors were progressing this Monday towards Paris, the shortage is not yet lurking in the stores.

“None of our 25 logistics platforms are blocked,” notes Michel Biero, boss of Lidl France, who nevertheless says he “understands the anger of French producers”.
