He assures us: he does not want to “annoy or ruin the lives of the French”.

“Our objective (…) is to put pressure on the government to quickly find solutions to end the crisis”, declared this Monday morning on RTL the president of the National Federation of Farmers' Unions (FNSEA) Arnaud Rousseau.

The capital "will be surrounded by a certain number of tractor convoys but at a good distance because we do not want violence", he detailed, specifying that the farmers plan to be "between 30 and 40 kilometers from the capital on the main highways from 2 p.m.

“We are increasing the pressure because we understood that when it was far from Paris there was no reception of the message,” underlined the manager.

The mobilization will continue “everywhere in France, in all territories, with the very concrete objective of having announcements of emergency measures which concern the foundations of our profession”, he said, referring to the prices and reciprocity of standards for imported products.

Meeting with Gabriel Attal

Arnaud Rousseau also affirmed that it was “planned” that he would speak with Prime Minister Gabriel Attal during the day to discuss possible solutions to the agricultural crisis.

This FNSEA official had indicated this Friday evening, just after the announcements of emergency measures by Gabriel Attal, that he was ready to meet the head of government the next day to discuss the situation.
