Highlights: The blockages on the A1 and A16 in Val-d'Oise should be lifted late Friday morning. Some farmers, however, maintain that they want written documents before lifting the blockages. The debates could continue for a good part of the evening because the government's new round of announcements is not unanimous. “I am not very satisfied and I am not the only one,” explains a producer from the department who has visited the two Oise dams. “Even I took it for granted, but there is despair among the farmers.”

After the announcements made this Thursday by the government, the FDSEA of Oise, which organizes the blockades of the A1 motorways in Val-d'Oise,

Discussions continue on the dams located on the A1 and the A16.

After the call from the FNSEA and the Young Farmers to break camp, it remained to convince the farmers on the ground.

As things currently stand, the blockages on these two highways would not be lifted this evening but rather tomorrow in the morning.

“I'm going back to the one at Chennevières (Val-d'Oise) on the A1 later, a priori it was decided to suspend the roadblocks tomorrow at the end of the morning, around 11 a.m., indicates an operator from the south of Oise.

The announcements made today constitute a basis for progress, we will still have to work on them and ensure that everything that has been promised will be respected.

Maybe we'll finally be able to get some sleep again.

Even if I didn't sleep every night on the dams, the simple fact of standing there and trampling quickly became tiring.

“I’m not very satisfied and I’m not the only one”

The debates could continue for a good part of the evening because the government's new round of announcements is not unanimous.

“I am not very satisfied and I am not the only one,” explains a producer from the department who has visited the two Oise dams.

They give us gifts but they also add constraints in return, I think they didn't really understand what we expected.

So far, the movement has been calm and good-natured, but things could go wrong.

Some people get angry because they have been sleeping outside for nine days.

“It was very tense today on the A16”

A tension confirmed by Luc Smessaert, vice-president of the FNSEA.

“It was very tense today on the A16, even I took it for granted, but there is despair among the farmers,” sighs the union leader.

The prefect of Oise came to meet us on the A16, we decided to suspend the roadblocks this Friday morning and it will be the same thing on the A1.

Some farmers, however, maintain that they want written documents before lifting the blockages.

“This is what we are asking of the government,” continues Luc Smessaert.

There will be the Agricultural Show and in two months the vote on a major agricultural law.

We are responsible people but if at these deadlines the account is not there, we will be back with much stronger actions.

There is a big event next summer in France, we all hope it goes well.
