Thousands of demonstrators and more than a thousand tractors invaded the streets of Brussels this Thursday around a summit of leaders of the Twenty-Seven Member States, against a backdrop of anger from the agricultural world.
In front of the Brussels buildings of the European Parliament on Place du Luxembourg, access to which is blocked by hundreds of tractors, a dense crowd of demonstrators has gathered: we hear French, Dutch, Italian and German speaking.
Tractor horns, sounds of firecrackers cracking in the air.

Pallet fires were lit on the road emitting acrid black smoke, slurry was dumped on the pavement and a pile of tires burned earlier in the night.
A statue representing a steelworker was also defaced and unbolted on Place du Luxembourg.
