Highlights: Thousands of demonstrators and more than a thousand tractors invaded the streets of Brussels this Thursday around a summit of leaders of the Twenty-Seven Member States. Pallet fires were lit on the road emitting acrid black smoke, slurry was dumped on the pavement and a pile of tires burned earlier in the night. Thousands of demonstrators and more than a thousand tractors invaded the streets of Brussels this Thursday around a summit of leaders of the Twenty-Seven Member States, against a backdrop of anger from the agricultural world.

In front of the Brussels buildings of the European Parliament on Place du Luxembourg, access to which is blocked by hundreds of tractors, a dense crowd of demonstrators has gathered: we hear French, Dutch, Italian and German speaking.
