Airlines, Correos, Aysa and trains remain on the list, but the uranium manufacturer Dioxitek, Casa de la Moneda and several firms based in Córdoba were removed.

Of the original list of 41 companies that the Government of Javier Milei intended to privatize when it first presented the Omnibus bill, YPF was the first to fall by the wayside.

Then, the number of shares that could be transferred from three others was limited: Banco Nación, the satellite company Arsat and Nucleoeléctrica Argentina, the electric power generating company that manages Embalse, Atucha I and Atucha II.

This is how the project entered Congress.

But in the negotiations with the opposition to be able to approve the megalaw,

another 9 of the 37 that remained were removed

from Chapter II of the Majority Opinion on the privatization of public companies :

  • BICE

    (Investment and Foreign Trade Bank

    )

  • The

    Mint

  • Coastal Radio

  • Radio University of Córdoba

  • Veng

(New Generation Space Vehicle), aerospace company controlled by Conae.

  • Dionisio Water Mining Deposits

    (Catamarca mining)

  • Dioxitek

    (uranium dioxide production)

  • The Argentine Aircraft Factory from

    Cordoba

  • military manufactures

Furthermore, it is ratified that

Banco Nación, Arsat and Nucleoeléctrica

can only be partially privatized and the State must maintain the majority participation in the capital or in the formation of corporate decisions.

Thus, finally, the 27 companies that could be transferred to the private sector were divided into three annexes: general firms, those linked to transportation and, finally, those linked to media and content:

In the first group are:

  • The General Administration of Ports

    SE

  • Aysa

  • Argentinian airlines

  • Argentine Mail

  • YCRT

  • Construction of Housing for the Argentine Navy SE

  • Argentine Energy

    (former Enarsa)

  • Intercharge

  • Agricultural Technological Innovations

    SA (INTeA)

  • Railway Beaches of Buenos Aires

    SA

  • Constituents

    SA Technological Pole

  • Tandanor

(North Dock Naval Workshops SACI and N.)

  • Nación Bursátil

    SA

  • Nación Reaseguros

    SA

  • Nación Retirement Insurance

    SA

  • Nation Services

    SAH

In a second package are:

  • The Railway Infrastructure Administration

  • Railway Operator

  • Belgrano Cargo and Logistics

  • Argentine Railways

  • Argentine Air Navigation Company

  • Development of Railway Human Capital

  • Road Corridors

And the firms linked to the media and content:

  • The Télam

    news agency

  • Educate

  • Public Contents

  • Argentine Radio and Television

There is a firm, Pellegrini, which is a common investment fund manager for Banco Nación that was on the original list of firms to be privatized but disappeared from the last count.

It is not known if the idea was to remove it or if it fell by the wayside in the heat of the negotiations.
