On days of discouragement, Jonathan, 34, tells himself that he would be calmer.
“I could sell games, PMU, electronic cigarettes, lighters, etc.
without the constraints,” says the tobacconist, who has been in the sector for twelve years.
However, he “loves” this job.
He grew up with it.
Parents, uncles… in his family, there are seven who run a tobacco shop.
He, in Paris 15th century, is not affected by the sale of contraband cigarettes;
his mother in Porte de Montreuil, his sister in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine), yes.
So this Monday, January 5, he responded to the call from the Chambre syndicale des tobacconists d'Île-de-France for a punch operation.

All day, around fifty tobacconists traveled throughout Île-de-France, to raise awareness of the “scourge” of the sale of contraband cigarettes.
“We want to focus on what is happening in the region,” warns Philippe Alauze, president of the union.
The illegal parallel market is exploding and tobacconists are losing up to 30 or even 40% of their turnover.
It’s becoming a real social phenomenon.
