The average age of the recruits is 33.8, half of them have no children, 40% of them have small children up to the age of 9, and 12% have older children.

About half of the reservists in December worked in high-paying industries - 20% are employed in high-tech and another 36% in industry, professional services and the information and communication fields.

According to the Chief Economist's Division, these are industries in which the wages are high compared to the rest of the economy: "From the data of the employees who were absent from their jobs due to reservists in 2019, for whom we have wage data, it appears that their wages are about 47% higher than the average wage in the economy, although the characteristics of the reservists may be different in routine somewhat of their wartime characteristics," the Ministry of Finance said.

These characteristics of the conscripted reservists lead to the inevitable conclusion that the payment they receive is higher than the average wage in the economy, and that the state's expenses for the manpower recruited for the war are extremely high, both due to the number of conscripts and the long reserve time, and due to the characteristics of the reservists, with education and wages above average, which of course Throw in the compensation they receive for each reserve day, based on their existing salary.
