Sugar donuts sold in particular by the hard-discount supermarket chains Aldi and Lidl are the subject of a recall throughout France.
Produced by the Belgian group Vandemoortele, these donuts have undergone, according to the Rappel conso website, an “organoleptic deviation”, that is to say a change affecting their taste or smell.
A “metallic and acidic aftertaste in the product, the intensity of which varies from one batch to another” was notably highlighted.
The recall was thus ordered as a “precautionary” measure following complaints.
Points of sale spread throughout France
Many batches of donuts are affected.
They were marketed between November 1 and February 2 in points of sale throughout France, notably by Aldi and Lidl, but also by certain Carrefour or U stores, as well as in bakeries.

Consumers who have purchased these products are invited to no longer consume them and to return them to the point of sale or destroy them.
