Their turn to express their anger.

Independent milk producers are demonstrating this Tuesday morning in front of the National Assembly “in order to warn our elected officials about the dramatic situation facing dairy farmers in France”.

“Our French and European policies must respond to agricultural issues with concrete measures aimed at guaranteeing remunerative prices including our production costs, dignified remuneration and margins,” writes the Association of Independent Dairy Producers (APLI) on Facebook.

Invited on RMC this Tuesday morning, APLI president Adrien Lefèvre denounces “government responses” which “are off the mark”.

For him, these - just like the demands of the FNSEA and the Young Farmers (JA) "are really too technical" on points such as "reduction of charges and constraints".

“When the independents leave their farm, it is not a union problem.

It’s because there is a real structural and fundamental problem,” insisted Adrien Lefèvre.

“The problem is European”

According to him, “prices are falling apart because they are markets and markets are falling apart in all countries”.

“We will not be able to achieve this with Franco-French measures.

The problem is European,” he insisted.

For Adrien Lefèvre, the question of income therefore remains the most important.

“We just want producers to be well paid.

Asked about the fact that the FNSEA and the JA are received at Matignon this Tuesday then at the Élysée this Wednesday, Adrien Lefèvre regrets that the executive “always listens to the same people”.

“We just want to be listened to.

We were never received in the ministries despite the reminders,” he added.

Adrien Lefèvre also promised “actions during the Agricultural Show” on February 24.

However, he did not detail them.
