Will Crédit Mutuel give the “The” for the elimination of bank charges on small inheritances?
The group will in any case formalize this Wednesday, February 14, its decision to exempt from inheritance banking fees all assets below 10,000 euros.
This will concern Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale funds and CIC agencies from March 1.
According to the group's statistics, this represented more than half (52%) of the files processed in 2022.
The bank had already decided a year ago to exempt accounts credited with less than 2,000 euros from inheritance file fees.
“When opening files over 10,000 euros, only the processing fees will now be invoiced at 1% up to a limit of 1,000 euros,” the group further specifies.
Asset liquidation and annual management fees are waived for all estates.
